4. Life Sciences and Health (LSH)

Life Sciences & Health is a combined initiative for and by all parties active in the health-related life sciences in the Netherlands. Life Sciences & Health is driven by the sector and empowered by the Ministry of Economic Affairs. The main objective of this innovation program (referred to as ‘LSH’) is to capitalize on knowledge by stimulating this important sector of the Dutch economy to grow. In this way, the full benefit of the unprecedented investment in the last few years can be realized. This benefit works twofold:
For society, in terms of new treatments, advanced diagnostics etc, for the benefit of the patient (health), and
For the economy, in terms of new start-ups, growth of SMEs and investments of foreign companies (wealth).
